how did it come about, and what where you doing or what where your thoughts when writing this song. being a drummer is it a quick 2/4 beat or 4/4, did you ever know or talk to John denver,or bobby goldsborough(honey) and did you write for other artists thanx jim

Never met Goldsboro. Not sure how to classify the "Butterfly" rhythm.

I class the 'Butterfly' rhythm as the perfect dreamy summer sound, no matter what the weather is doing outside when I look out of the window!

Even now, forty something years later, when I hear Elusive Butterfly, it's Springtime again as a child. That song helps me to replay a good part of my life. I never tire of hearing it.
The new music is beautiful and I have several favorites that I play over and over, but that one holds a special place for me.
